Recomendando películas: Te presento a Laura

¡Hola hola! ¿Cómo están? En esta ocasión paso muy brevemente porque estoy atareadísima con la universidad y estoy evadiendo mis deberes un ratito, así que solo vengo a recomendales una película que acabo de ver y me ha gustado tanto que ya se encuentra entre mis favoritas: Te presento a Laura. 

Es una película mexicana muy linda, me identifiqué muchísimo con la prota y me enamoró Kuno Bécker :$ No quiero decir mucho para no aguárselas, pero les cuento que es una comedia romántica muy bonita, con un mensaje optimista y de verdad quisiera que todo mundo la viera para tener con quien hablar de ella, jeje. Así que véanla si también les llama o si ya lo hicieron cuéntenme en los comentarios :D

Recommending movies: The Nanny Diaries/ The Vow

Hola hola!

Ésta es otra entrada de películas, y sí, la he escrito en inglés. Go ahead and read it and comment if you like these movies as much as I do.

Pero si no (y también si sí), os invito a ver antes mi entrada anterior sobre películas. La escribí hace tiempito pero esas pelis aún son de mis favoritas y me siguen encantando:

The nanny diaries

The nanny diaries is one of my favorite movies. I’ve only watched it two or three times because every time I do it I finish overwhelmed with a lot of feelings encountered: love, sadness, anger, contempt.

I’m not sure why I like it so much. Maybe it’s because of its very realistic showing of what I don’t want to be, how I don’t want to live, ‘cause all that high class nanny system just makes me sick. Maybe it’s because of Grayer’s face when Nanny is leaving (it just breaks my heart) or maybe it’s because of “Harvard hottie” ♥ ‘cause come on girls, isn’t him just perfect? Nice, kind, cute, handsome, good looking, well educated, and rich! Why not? I mean, being rich it’s no necessary but who would get mad if it also comes with the package? ;)

I just wish it were easier to find boys like this out there. Then I remember I've never been to New York's East side or a place like that :7 Well, she met him after she graduated, I’m still in university, so there’s some hope for me \^.^/

And everytime I watch it (which, may I repeat, hasn't been many) I amaze of how stupid things people do in the high class, spending a lot of time in a spa, or shopping or doing something for beneficency for children, neglecting their own child, don't even paying 5 minutes a day with him or "working" and traveling all the time and also being a **** while your little boy, who's supposed to be your treasure, spends the day with a nanny. Please! Where's humanity? Is this evolution? Is this civilization?

Children are not objects you have in your house. They are the most precious gift ever.

I'm so glad Annie said those words at the end...

Also I like that it's a very realistic movie. It has love, comedy, drama, social critics... everything well mixed in a soft way.

Okay, okay, my favorite was Harvard hottie. And Grayer. And Harvard hottie. And Grayer. And Harvard... uuuuh!!!! OwO

The vow

This movie... it brings out of me lots of feelings. I remember I watched it because my friends Lourdes and Nohelia recommended it some years ago as a good romantic movie. I got crazy when I saw Channing Tatum was there (can’t help it ♥), and that cute girl, I was wondering where have I seen her before but it was later that I recognized her: Rachel McAdams, same main actress for another of my favorite movies, The Notebook.

Well, the thing is that this movie is so cute! :3 I loved the way Leo fell in love with Paige, how he saw her and didn't let her go, all his little details, like those napkins when she had the flu, all them were simple but so lovely, and also the way she smiled onto him was tender. Their love was precious. I loved their wedding and their appartment (when he asked her to move in I also jumped on my chair and screamed out with excitement). The way they always supported each other. I loved it. That's why it went so hard of me when she losts her memory, when I saw him taking care of her and she been so cold... it hurt me too. I was so sad. Thanks God it had a happy ending.

Even so, I loved it. It was a great movie. Also, it is based on a real life story (wich makes me like it more, to know that beautiful love story wasn't just another lie, but it actually happened).  This movie is also one of those you make sure you don't watch too often because all those strong feelings may bring you down. I liked it even more when I watched it some weeks ago, for the second time. Don't know why, maybe because I'm older and have another perspective of love.

The aura of this movie is different. So cute, so light, but having a hard time at the same time. I loved it, definitely. I will give it a 9 of 10.

The fault in our stars - book and movie reaction

He escrito esta entrada en inglés ya que en ese idioma leí y vi la peli, además de que hace mucho no escribía en inglés - creo que desde Catching fire- En todo caso, he puesto partes en español y siempre pueden usar el traductor que está arriba la derecha. Espero que no sea un gran problema  ya que ahora tengo seguidores  Si haz leído TFIOS o has visto la peli, no dudes en comentar tu reacción, no importa en qué idioma lo hagas X)

  

Ok, here it is, my reaction: I loved it!

As always, the movie had many differences with the book, a lot of things were missed and everything happened faster, but I understand that was a matter of time. So I think the movie was good, not as good as the book but, quite good.

If I were to rate it, I will give a 4 to the movie and a 5 for the book.

There’s something I must say and it is that I loved Augustus Waters! While I was reading the book, I imagined him as a super cute guy, but oh my God, the actor that portrayed him, Alsen Elgort, Oh my God he’s the cutest American guy ever! He made me even crazier about him (I mean, about Augustus). He really surpassed my expectations.

I fell in love with Augustus since the very beginning. I find him so cool and also lovely ^^ In the movie, I loved that he was always cherishing Hazel, protecting her. Every little touch of his fingers in her skin, I loved it. And also Alsen Elgort's lips y ese lunar que tiene junto a la boca… Oh God! ¡Ay chico! Yo podría escalar los Andes solo por ir a contar tus lunares…

Yeah but really, I got super crazy about him. He’s my ideal type. So sad he’s just a character [SPOILER] and he dyed TT.TT [SPOILER END]

That trip to Amsterdam was awesome. Not weird it was much better in the book, but quite awesome yet.

I loved Hazel Grace but, the character that fascinated me was August.  I loved his off cigarette and that entire oblivion thing; his friki speaking and sense of humor, I loved almost everything he said. I collected a lot of quotes while reading and most of them are Augustus’s sayings (but I decided to put them all on a different post, since they are so many).  And that virginity circles, he was so lovely X)

Both with the movie and the book, I was crazy waiting for the moment they kissed, [SPOILER] so when it happened at the Anna Frank’s museum I hugged my pillow the hardest and screamed like a mad.  [SPOILER END]

I pray one day I’ll find a guy like him.

It hurt me a lot when he got sick again. The chapters he happened to have a hard time, those were the ones I began to cry. And I cried a lot. I couldn’t believe he was the one dying. In the first half of the book, I though Hazel was the one who was going to die. I was preparing myself for that moment. I really got all that grenade feelings, I understood everything. So it did really surprise me the way things turned out.

Also the last letter, especially the last paragraph, was perfect! People characters like him don’t deserve to die. [SPOILER END]

OMG I’m crying again.

No doubt The Fault in our stars will enter in my favorite books’ list. And I have no doubt the Earth is round and the sky is blue and the Sun is the greatest star in the known universe, and that I love Augustus Waters.

Películas para ver al despertar y antes de dormir

Hoy es uno de esos días en los que no me siento muy bien. La gripe ha hecho en mí de las suyas, plus tuve una semana muy agotadora producto de las tareas de la uni así que ayer dormí como un osito.

Desperté esta mañana casi a las once y luego de asearme y desayunar encendí el televisor. Estaban pasando Catch and Release, una película que vi hace mucho, cuando iniciaba la escuela secundaria y que me gustó desde la primera vez. Ahora que han pasado los años la he comprendido espléndidamente.

Es una película romántica muy suave, de esas que te relajan y te apasionan. No hay mucha acción pero sí algo de comedia y unos paisajes increíbles. La música también es muy buena.

Me encantaron las citas de Sam de los tés y cajas de cereal. También las travesuras de Matty (¡qué niño tan inquieto!) y los masajes de Maureen con su técnica de percusión.

Me siento muy identificada con Gray. No sé si ella haga la pareja perfecta con Fritz pero él también me gustó mucho. Definitivamente, él es mi tipo. Amé cuando ella hablaba hasta por los codos de una forma completamente dramática y él la miraba como diciendo “ella es perfecta”. También me gustó que ella fuera decidida y atrevida, tanto como para dar el primer paso e ir tras él. Me encantó que él fuera loco y sencillo, que le gustara la fotografía y la playa y que fuera algo reservado y bohemio.

 Necesito conocer a alguien como él.

Otra película que quiero recomendarles es “The Holiday” con Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Cameron Díaz y Jack Black. La he visto varias veces en la noche.

Ésta vez no puedo identificarme de manera plena con ninguna de las protagonistas. Creo que tengo un poco de ambas; pero sí quedé encantada con Jude Law, ¡es adorable! Amé, amé, amé su personaje. Su forma de interpretarlo fue… ¡tan real! y sus ojos, sus lágrimas cuando lloraba… Ya lo había visto en revistas pero… verlo en acción fue… ¡Dios! Fue como comer chocolate, o helado de vainilla, ¿entienden no?

Es muy dulce ver la evolución de los protagonistas en la película. Todos son adultos pero verlos enfrentarse a sus miedos y atreverse a tomar locas decisiones es como ver a un niño crecer. Estuvo llena de momentos encantadores.

27 dresses es otra de esas películas que vi cuando era pequeña pero no la aprecié hasta que fui más grande y la vi en televisión. Me encantó que Kevin fuera tan cínico y realista y que la ingenua y complaciente de Jane se alocara y enfrentara a su hermana Tess (aunque talvez se le fue la mano), pero lo que más amé fue que Jane creara sus propios recuerdos en vez de solo ayudar a los de alguien más. Tuvo un final estupendo.

Y bueno éstas son mis recomendaciones para ésta noche y el día. Pensándolo un poco, algo que tienen en común es que en todas los personajes huyen, tratando de evitar su realidad, hasta que encuentran a alguien que aloca su mundo y los motiva a enfrentarla. A mi parecer son películas muy buenas, de esas que vería encantada una y otra vez. Quisiera que estuvieran inspiradas en libros, los leería sin pensarlo.
