The fault in our stars - book and movie reaction

He escrito esta entrada en inglés ya que en ese idioma leí y vi la peli, además de que hace mucho no escribía en inglés - creo que desde Catching fire- En todo caso, he puesto partes en español y siempre pueden usar el traductor que está arriba la derecha. Espero que no sea un gran problema  ya que ahora tengo seguidores  Si haz leído TFIOS o has visto la peli, no dudes en comentar tu reacción, no importa en qué idioma lo hagas X)

  

Ok, here it is, my reaction: I loved it!

As always, the movie had many differences with the book, a lot of things were missed and everything happened faster, but I understand that was a matter of time. So I think the movie was good, not as good as the book but, quite good.

If I were to rate it, I will give a 4 to the movie and a 5 for the book.

There’s something I must say and it is that I loved Augustus Waters! While I was reading the book, I imagined him as a super cute guy, but oh my God, the actor that portrayed him, Alsen Elgort, Oh my God he’s the cutest American guy ever! He made me even crazier about him (I mean, about Augustus). He really surpassed my expectations.

I fell in love with Augustus since the very beginning. I find him so cool and also lovely ^^ In the movie, I loved that he was always cherishing Hazel, protecting her. Every little touch of his fingers in her skin, I loved it. And also Alsen Elgort's lips y ese lunar que tiene junto a la boca… Oh God! ¡Ay chico! Yo podría escalar los Andes solo por ir a contar tus lunares…

Yeah but really, I got super crazy about him. He’s my ideal type. So sad he’s just a character [SPOILER] and he dyed TT.TT [SPOILER END]

That trip to Amsterdam was awesome. Not weird it was much better in the book, but quite awesome yet.

I loved Hazel Grace but, the character that fascinated me was August.  I loved his off cigarette and that entire oblivion thing; his friki speaking and sense of humor, I loved almost everything he said. I collected a lot of quotes while reading and most of them are Augustus’s sayings (but I decided to put them all on a different post, since they are so many).  And that virginity circles, he was so lovely X)

Both with the movie and the book, I was crazy waiting for the moment they kissed, [SPOILER] so when it happened at the Anna Frank’s museum I hugged my pillow the hardest and screamed like a mad.  [SPOILER END]

I pray one day I’ll find a guy like him.

It hurt me a lot when he got sick again. The chapters he happened to have a hard time, those were the ones I began to cry. And I cried a lot. I couldn’t believe he was the one dying. In the first half of the book, I though Hazel was the one who was going to die. I was preparing myself for that moment. I really got all that grenade feelings, I understood everything. So it did really surprise me the way things turned out.

Also the last letter, especially the last paragraph, was perfect! People characters like him don’t deserve to die. [SPOILER END]

OMG I’m crying again.

No doubt The Fault in our stars will enter in my favorite books’ list. And I have no doubt the Earth is round and the sky is blue and the Sun is the greatest star in the known universe, and that I love Augustus Waters.

¡Vacaciones! Próximas lecturas *w*

Nada, que estoy de vacaciones hasta Febrero y pues, tengo muchísimo tiempo para leer y ser feliz! Ya se me va pasando la “resaca” de Mockingjay así que estoy emocionadísima planificando lo próximo que voy a leer. Por lo pronto les diré los libros de los que tengo más ganas. Ojalá pueda leer al menos la mitad.

1. The fault in our stars de John Green. A veces creo que soy el único ser viviente en el mundo blogger que aún no le ha leído pero muero de ganas! Es más, es lo próximo inmediato que voy a leer. He dicho.

2. Eleanor & Park de Rainbow Rowell. Sí, sé que es todo cursi, pero me encantaría disfrutarlo ^^

3.The book thief. Otro que quiero leer desde hace rato, aunque me saque lágrimas.

    

4. The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao (o La maravillosa vida breve de Óscar Wao) de Junot Díaz. Para quienes no sepan, Junot Díaz es un genialísimo autor de mi país y esta novela le ha merecido varios reconocimientos, incluyendo un Pullitzer.

5. Rayuela de Julio Cortázar. Quiero leerlo de todas las formas posibles. También sus Historias de cronopios y de famas. Quedé fascinada con este autor de solo leer parte de sus “instrucciones”.

  

6. 50 shades of Grey trilogy. ¡Oh sí! ;)

   

7. El juego de Ripper de Isabel Allende. Lo vi hace unas semanas en una librería y ¡oh cheríe! Esa portada OwO

8. Oliver Twist. Quiero leerlo para después verlo en teatro y también A tale of two cities y cualquier otra cosa de Dickens. 

  

9. Dracula. Wajajajaja ya lo tengo en mi celular. Y también Frankenstein u.u

  

10. Charlie y la fábrica de chocolate. Creo que es el único que me falta por leer de Roald Dahl. Cabe destacar que amo sus demás obras y sí, soy una niña :3

Y bueno, estos son libros que tengo en mi whislist (aunque no necesariamente en ese orden); en verdad son más pero estos son los que tengo más urgencia de leer, así que si quieres hacerme feliz, ya sabes que hacer =D

Holaaa!

Pues esta idea la vi en el blog de Amanda y Alicia "Amor y mucho más" y en seguida tuve que hacer una entrada. Esta sección es algo así como un update, en el que les cuento de mí estos días. Justo estaba pensando en algo así y bueno, aquí les voy! \^.^/

Escuchando… Mucha música suave. Últimamente me la he pasado oyendo He is we, Plain White T’s, Secondhand Serenade y ese tipo de bandas. Sí, lo sé, estoy muy cursi :3

Leyendo… Mockingjay aún. Mátenme, pero es que desde que iniciaron otra vez las clases apenas tengo tiempo para leer o escribir. Tengo todas las ganas del mundo de quedarme horas pegada leyendo ._.

Pensando… en el amor que nunca termina de llegar a mi vida. En mi tarea de diseño. En que debería estar dibujando en vez de estar aquí en blogger, pero es que no me resisto uwu

Sintiendo… unas ganas terribles de agarrar mi guitarra y desquitarme todas esas ganas de tocar horas y horas miles de canciones hasta quedarme dormida abrazada a ella :3

Amando… mi nuevo labial púrpura. Queda bello *-*

Disfrutando… de la música, de la vida.

Necesitando… ¡libros nuevos! Hace muchísimo tiempo que no leo una novela en físico. Últimamente estoy que leo todo en la tablet y pues, extraño el olor y tacto del papel.  Quisiera tener más dinero :|

Deseando… Mmm…

Quiero lo que todo el mundo quiere, quiero un amor que me consuma, quiero pasión, aventura, e incluso un poco de peligro…  

Si tan solo encontrara un Salvatore…

Comiendo… últimamente todo muy light, pero hace un par de días probé unos churros rellenos de dulce de leche que me dejaron mal, en el buen sentido. ¡Qué cosa tan rica! OwO

Llevando… Cosas color aqua o turquesa (¡me fascina!) y aprendiendo a usar tacones altos.

Oliendo: el perfume de papi, que hace poquito me abrazó (perfume de hombre, debilidad de toda mujer).

Viendo: The Vampire Diaries! Amo a Stefan, ¡AMO a Stefan! ¡Dios! :$

Y bueno esto es todo. ¿Algo que hagamos en común? Un abrazo enorme.

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" - My reaction

My rating: 10. This time I agree both the book and the film are extremely good. I was anxious while reading and so while seeing the movie, very anxious and excited. I’m telling you they are terrific!

The reason why I think this is better than the first one is because everything is much more intense: the fear, the challenges, the threats, the people... There were some things in the first movie that weren't in the book but they spoke about it in the second so now I understand why. I’m going to be careful not to say anything you must not know. I’ll retain myself not to speak about anything you don’t see in the trailer.

It starts quietly with Katniss life and Panem after her and Peeta winning the games and that stuff but everything becomes thrilling when the Quarter Quell begins. This time the Games were furious because of the place and tributes themselves. What could you expect from an angry president and a game played by victors?

I’m confused. At the beginning I was in love with Gale, I still am but then Peeta is so sweet! Katniss is an idol: “The girl on fire”, “The mokingjay”… She has returned the hope to the people in the districts… and to me. She’s a fighter. If I were in the Games I would want to be like her. Even in real life.

I’m excited about the end because it cuts in the mid of the action, only making me want more, more! But I’m afraid I can not start reading Mockingjay right away because my vacations are over and I don’t have the time among all my classes and homework to distract myself reading. What a pity. I’m going to read it as soon as I’m free again.

I’ll say so long for now. Go read the book and watch the movie if you haven’t. I promise it worths all the worth in the world! Only and advice: read the book first.
